Stress Was Slowly Stealing My Health
I was 25 years old when my body first started whispering — then screaming — for my attention.
At the time, I thought it was temporary. After all, who could be stressed at 25?
But that year I had:
Earned an MBA while working full-time
Purchased my first home
Lived at a pace that had been my “normal” for over a decade
What I didn’t realize was that stress had become my baseline.
My symptoms piled up:
Severe hormonal imbalances
Digestive issues
Food sensitivities
Crushing fatigue
Doctor after doctor told me, “There’s nothing wrong.”
“This is just aging.”
But my quality of life was shrinking — and I knew that answer wasn’t true.
So I did what I’ve always done.
I went searching.
Choosing the Harder, Truer Path
I left my multi six-figure career.
Moved across the country.
And became a “poor medical student” — on purpose.
I enrolled at Bastyr University, where I earned:
A Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine
A Master’s in Acupuncture
A Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine
I chose to study Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture simultaneously, day and night, because I knew the body couldn’t be understood through one lens alone.
There is no separation for me now — Western medicine, Eastern medicine, intuition, science, and lived experience are woven together in how I practice.
And for the first time, I felt it.
I had found my purpose.
The Healer Who Had to Heal Herself
Ironically, the deeper I went into my work, the sicker I became.
Entrepreneurship. Responsibility. Leadership.
Stress layered on stress — and even though I was “doing everything right,” my health continued to decline.
Until my body forced me to stop.
I ended up hospitalized.
In surgery.
And eventually, I lost a kidney.
This was the turning point.
Lying in a hospital bed, my practice closed, my life stripped down to the essentials, I finally saw what I had been missing all along:
👉 Stress wasn’t a side issue. It was the root cause.
I had been living on adrenaline my entire life — overachieving, fixing, pushing, identifying as “the strong one.”
Healing didn’t begin until I learned how to slow down.
How to meditate.
How to listen.
How to say no.
That’s when everything changed.
The Birth of My Healing System
Out of my own breakdown came clarity.
I created a 5-Step Holistic Healing System, beginning with what I now know is the most important phase:
Investigate.
I became a true medical detective — deeply understanding my patients’ symptoms, stressors, lifestyle, habits, history, and emotional load. From there, we:
Eliminate what’s driving disease
Balance the body’s systems
Create sustainable lifestyle shifts
Build accountability and support
When stress is addressed directly, something remarkable happens.
Symptoms improve.
Chronic conditions soften — or disappear.
The body remembers how to heal.
The Truth I Now Stand On
Healing doesn’t come from me.
It comes from you.
I am the conduit — the guide — the translator of your body’s messages. My role is to give you the tools, the understanding, and the support to reclaim your power.
